SMART PASS
The goal of SmartPass is to provide a unified and secure platform for authentication and allow UAE
citizens, residents, and visitors, to access public services smoothly and securely without
registering or re-entering personal information multiple times.
The Emirates ID card is the official document approved in the UAE to verify the identity of individuals
as its electronic chip contains the cardholder’s verified personal information. Thus, the UAE
The government has launched SmartPass in collaboration with the Emirates Identity Authority. However,
users who do not have an Emirates ID card can still register as visitor/international users.

What are the registration steps?
- Download the app.
- Scan your Emirates ID.
- Verify your email and phone number with One Time Password (OTP)
- Create a PIN.
- Verify your account using the face recognition feature.
- Set the new password for digital signatures.
How do I create a SmartPass account?
On the Accounts Tab, hit the green Add button on the top.
Select create a new Standard Account.
Enter the Credentials you would like the user to use to log in,
it can be an email or a username.
